Dr. Dara Bellace is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, obesity, and associated issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and stress management. She has extensive clinical and research experience in the assessment and treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and obesity, and most recently was a full-time faculty member within the Eating Disorders Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Bellace works with female and male preadolescents, adolescents and adults, and offers individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and supportive psychotherapy to her patients. She is also one of only a few certified Maudsley family therapists in the country, and offers Maudsley Family Therapy as a more intensive form of outpatient treatment to adolescents struggling with anorexia nervosa and their families.
Dr. Bellace also offers seminars and workshops focused on eating disorders and disordered eating in schools, academic research settings, and in the community.
